Mrs. Jeanette Harper Carver, age 86 of Douglas, passed away early Saturday morning March 27, 2021 at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Carver was born July 4, 1934 to the late Randall Harper and the late Jewel Jones Harper. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lebern Carver; and brothers, Lanell Harper and JC Harper.

Mrs. Carver, native of Coffee County, was employed by the Coffee County Board of Education as a lunchroom worker at Ambrose Elementary School. She was also employed at Walmart as a floral designer. She was a member of St. Illa Baptist Church.

Survivors include:

Sons: James Henry Carver and wife Sherrill Carver of Douglas, GA
Ronnie Carver and wife Mary of Burke, VA
Steve Carver and wife Linda of Douglas, GA

Siblings: Jacqueline Tucker of Brunswick, GA
Helen Quinn St. Mary’s, GA
Randy Harper Lanark, FL

Grandchildren: Chasity Hostetler and husband Ryan of Fitzgerald, GA
Courtney Dorminey of Douglas, GA
Candace Johns of Douglas, GA
Jennifer (Jenny) Castilleja and husband David of
Clifton, VA
Scott Carver of Mesa, AZ

Great Grandchildren: Jake Johns of Douglas, GA
Reegan Hostetler of Fitzgerald, GA
Marlee Dorminey Douglas, GA
Olivia and Emily Castilleja both of Clifton, VA

Several relatives and other friends.

The funeral service will be Monday morning, March 29, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Illa Baptist Church with Rev. Walt DeLoach and Rev. Terry Reagin officiating. The interment will follow in St. Illa Cemetery.

The family will receive friends, Monday morning, March 29, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Illa Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers the family of Mrs. Carver requests that donations be made in her memory to Bethany Hospice LLC 1400 Peterson Avenue Suite L Douglas, GA 31533 / St. Ila Baptist Church 5638 Highway 158 West Douglas, GA 31535 or a charity of your choice.

Due to COVID-19, attendees are asked to observe six foot social distancing at the funeral service and interment. Please wear your mask for safety precautions and in accordance with CDC guidelines.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
