Mary Evelyn Anderson, age 72, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2021 in Douglas, Georgia. Mrs. Anderson was born on November 24, 1948 in Coffee County, Georgia the daughter of the late L.L. and Mary Jeanine Fussell Paulk.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Anderson and a daughter, Regina Aycock.

 

She was a homemaker and a member of Saving Grace Ministries.

 

Survivors include son, Thomas Anderson of California; two sisters, Sharon Simmons of Baxley, GA and, Annette Overstreet of Hazlehurst, GA; two grandchildren, Regan and Abby Aycock; son-in-law, Brian Aycock; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Cliff Kirkland officiating. Interment will follow at Stokesville Church Cemetery, Axson, Georgia.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Due to COVID-19, Sims Funeral Home Inc. will require all guests and attendees to wear appropriate medical grade face-masks and maintain social distancing at all times while visiting our facility, and highly encouraged at our services outside of our facility.  Masks are not provided.
