Nancy Walden Corbitt, age 63, of Tifton, Georgia passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Corbitt was born on June 9, 1954 in Allentown, PA the daughter of the late Malvern and Evelyn Wall Bitting.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mitch Corbitt, grandson, Thomas Walden and a sister, Joanne Hutcheson.

 

Mrs. Corbitt worked as a mail carrier in Coffee County (West Green area) and was member of Lone Hill United Methodist Church.  

 

Survivors include daughter, Robin Whitley (Danny) of Nicholls, GA; son, Anthony Walden of Hazlehurst, GA; three grandchildren, Caitlyn Whitley of Nicholls, GA, Daniel Whitley of Nicholls, GA and, Tyler Walden (Rachel) of Virginia; three great grandchildren, Kinsley Hall, Aubrey Walden and, Avery Walden; two brothers, Sonny Bitting (Martha) of Lumber City, GA and, William Bitting of Hazlehurst, GA; sister, Cheryl Bohannon (Ronnie) of Hazlehurst, GA; several nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 6, 2021 from 12 noon until 1:30 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Lone Hill Church Cemetery with Rev. Joseph Lee officiating. Pallbearers will be Jason Blankinship, Timothy Anderson, Ashton Whitley, Daniel Whitley, Zach Bitting and Danny Whitley.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Due to COVID-19, Sims Funeral Home Inc. will require all guests and attendees to wear appropriate medical grade face-masks and maintain social distancing at all times while visiting our facility, and highly encouraged at our services outside of our facility.  Masks are not provided.
