Ms. Karon Denise O’Steen Taft, age 72 of Douglas, passed away Monday, April 12, 2021 at her residence following a short illness. Ms. Taft was born August 21, 1948 to the late Dennis O’Steen and the late Olif Harper O’Steen.
Ms. Taft, a native of Douglas, GA, had worked 30 years for Campbell’s and she had also worked in home healthcare with Altamaha Health Care. She was a member of Tanner Baptist Church.
Survivors include:
Daughter: Renee Warner and husband Steve of Valdosta, GA
Sister: Barbara Cauley of Douglas, GA
Several other relatives and friends, including a nephew Floyd Cauley and wife Laura of Douglas, GA
The graveside service and interment will be Wednesday afternoon, April 14, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Harrell Grove Cemetery with Rev. Buddy Jordon officiating.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM at Ricketson Funeral Home at which time the family will leave the funeral home and go in procession to Harrell Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Karon’s memory to Tanner Baptist Church c/o Jackie Spivey 6436 Old Axson Road, Douglas, GA 31535
The pallbearers for the service will be: Kevin Adams, Matt Eldridge, Terry Tatum, Steve McClelland, Kip McClelland and Koby McClelland.
