Mrs. Monta Sue Armstrong Wagaman, 66 of Douglas, GA passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021 at her home. She was born August 13, 1954. She is the daughter of Davis L. Armstrong and the late Mary Sue Whitehead Armstrong.

 

Other than her father, Mrs. Wagaman is survived by her daughter, Michelle Lynn Hardigree (Michael) of Waverly, GA; sisters Phillis Cunningham of Dumas, MS and Melinda Wicker (Johnny) of Douglas, GA; brother James Armstrong (Jamie) of Booneville, MS; granddaughters Jensen Chinen (Colbey) of St. Marys, GA., Lakelynn Hardigree of Waverly, GA. and Tiffany Hersey (Ryan) of Alma, GA; several nieces, nephews and other family members also survive.

 

Other than her mother Mrs. Wagaman is preceded in death by her son, Michael Hurst; grandson, Zachary Minter and husband, Donald Wagaman.

 

Visitation will take place Sunday April 11, 2021 from 6 PM – 8 PM in the chapel of Johnson Funeral & Cremation Services.

 

Funeral services will be held Monday April 12, 2021 at 10 AM. at Morningside Baptist Church. Food will be provided at the church after the service. In the words of Mrs. Monta Sue “You better go get something to eat after we are done with this mess.”

 

Burial will be in the Douglas City Cemetery.

 

Active pallbearers: James Armstrong, Darren Smith, Ronnie Johnson, Kevin Soles, Dwayne Holt, James Sears and Ricky Rozer.

 

Johnson Funeral & Cremation Services is in charge of the arrangements.
