Tim Mock, Security Officer and Chaplain at Coffee Regional Medical Center, has received the BEE Award for the first quarter of 2021.

When it comes to quality patient care, it truly takes a team. Coffee Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is proud to honor staff members who have been recognized by our patients, patient family members, or co-workers for their outstanding work to assist in our patients’ and visitors’ care. The BEE Award recognizes the extraordinary work of non-nursing staff members at CRMC. This award complements the DAISY Award, which recognizes outstanding service and care by our nursing staff.

Brother Mock was nominated by a patient family member and member of CRMC staff who shared, “I see Mr. Tim Mock come into the hospital daily to kneel down beside sick patients and pray for them. Although this experience is humbling as a nurse here at CRMC, it is more humbling while actually being in the hospital as a mother to a 4 year old. He prayed for my little girl and even laughed for a while with her. Mr. Tim deserves to be recognized for all his acts of kindness. He truly makes Coffee Regional Medical Center a better place.”

Brother Mock spends his days not only ensuring the safety and security of our facility, but also searching for ways to serve those around him. From bedside prayers, to buying a caregivers breakfast, to endless acts of service and kindness throughout our hallways, he is truly an outstanding member of the Coffee Regional staff. Team members like Brother Mock truly make a difference in the lives of our patients and our employees.

This story is just one example of what it means to go above and BEE-yond. All non-nurse members of the Coffee Regional Medical Center staff qualify for The BEE Award. Nominations are gathered each month and awarded every quarter after the BEE Award committee members choose the award recipient. Each honoree receives a certificate that reads: “This award is proudly presented in recognition of going BEE-yond in showing our patients and visitors an Exceptional Experience here at Coffee Regional Medical Center.” Additionally, honorees receive a unique BEE Award pin for their badge, a $50 gift certificate, and a reception with their colleagues featuring freshly made “honey bee” buns as a sweet treat.

If you would like to nominate a Coffee Regional Medical Center non-nursing staff member for The Bee Award, visit us online at www.CoffeeRegional.org/Bee. If you would like to nominate a CRMC nurse for the Daisy Award, visit us online at www.CoffeeRegional.org/Daisy.
