Mrs. Marilyn Marie Shrouder Kight, age 79, of Broxton, Georgia, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, April 24, 2021, at her home with family surrounding her. 

 

Mrs. Kight was born September 27, 1941, in Broxton, Georgia, to the late Jimmie Shrouder and Leona Stone Shrouder. She attended Stone’s Chapel Church.

 

Mrs. Kight loved her family, quilting, gardening, hunting and fishing.

 

Survivors include sons, Freddie and wife Regina, of Pickerington, Ohio, Allen and wife Beth of Granger, Indiana, Jimmie of Buckhead, Georgia and daughter Brenda and husband Richard Wooten of Broxton, Georgia; special friend, Michael Harper of Baxley, Georgia, that she loved like a son; grandchildren, Lacie Kight, Sloan Kight, Zak Kight, Emily Kight, Zane Kight, Melissa Smith and Crystal Williams. Great grandchildren, Jadynn Halterman, MaKaylla Kight, Savannah, Kight, Rylee Halterman, Bentley Kight, Valerie Fenwick, Dylan McQuaig, Kyndall McQuaig, Taylor Williams and Richard Williams. 

 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Eugene “Gene” Kight, and parents, Jimmie Shrouder and Leona Stone Shrouder.

 

The family will receive family and friends on Wednesday April 28, 2021 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Johnson’s Funeral & Cremation Services.

 

The graveside service will be held Thursday, April 29, 2021, at Pridgen, Georgia, at Pridgen Baptist Church at 11:00 AM with Reverend Tim Mock and Reverend George Paulk presiding.

 

Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren and great children and Bo Smith.

 

Active pallbearers will be Michael Shrouder, George Boyd, Mike Smith, Richard Williams, Dylan McQuaig, James Griffin.

 

Music played will be ‘I’ll Fly Away”

 

Johnson’s Funeral & Cremation Services is in charge of the arrangements.
