Michael Shawn Sewell, age 50, of Ambrose, Georgia passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Candler Hospital, Savannah, Georgia. Mr. Sewell was born on November 13, 1970 in Leesburg, Florida and was the son of Audrey Kay Walls Hulsey.

 

Mr. Sewell worked as a construction foreman for Vickers Enterprises and was of the Baptist faith.

 

Survivors include his wife, Christa Sewell of Ambrose, GA; 4 sons, Christopher Sewell of Ambrose, GA, Dylan Sewell (Makenzie) of Broxton, GA, Richard Deen (Jennifer) of Ambrose, GA and Johnathan Deen (Nicole) of Douglas, GA; daughter, Kendra Deen (Miguel) of Ambrose, GA; sister, Paige Sewell of Tifton, GA; mother and step-father, Audrey Kay & Terrell Hulsey of Tifton, GA; 14 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends Monday evening, May 10, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Matthews and Al Wayne Hulsey officiating. Interment will follow at Telmore Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David White, Jessie White, Jeremy Via, Tommy Harper, Patrick West, Billy McCullar, Patrick McCullar and Sean Rhymes.

 

Sims Funeral Home, Douglas, GA is in charge of arrangements.

 

Due to COVID-19, Sims Funeral Home Inc. will require all guests and attendees to wear appropriate medical grade face-masks and maintain social distancing at all times while visiting our facility, and highly encouraged at our services outside of our facility.  Masks are not provided.
