Mr. Kevin Royce Fussell, age 38 of Ambrose, GA passed away Friday morning, May 14, 2021 at his residence following a short illness. Mr. Fussell was born October 4, 1982 to Jimmy Royce Fussell and Clara Ann Morgan.

Mr. Fussell, a native of Douglas, GA, was employed in sales with C & F Music. He graduated from Atkinson County High School. He received an associate’s degree in Biology from South Georgia State College. He also attended Georgia Southern University where he received his bachelor’s degree in Biology and later he furthered his education while attending Mercer University in Macon. He attended Mt. Union Primitive Baptist Church and Bushnell Chapel. He was the 2017 Georgia Grand Champion Chess Player.

Survivors include:

His Father: Jimmy Royce Fussell of Ambrose, GA

His Mother: Clara Ann Morgan of Ambrose, GA

1 Brother: Brandon Fussell of Ambrose, GA

1 Step-Brother: Mark Moore of Lakeland, GA

Several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and other Relatives.

The funeral service will be Sunday afternoon, May 16, 2021 at 5:00 PM at Mt. Union Primitive Baptist Church with Rev. Walt DeLoach officiating. The interment will follow in Mt. Union Cemetery near Ambrose, GA.

Mr. Fussell will be placed in the church at 4:00 PM to lie in state until the funeral hour.

Musical Selections will be furnished by the Congregation.

Active Pallbearers will be: Johnathon Sturgis, Mark Moore, Scott Woodell, Benjamin Headley, David Delbrugge and Wade Carver.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Yancie Guthrie and Aaron Fussell.

Due to COVID-19, attendees are asked to observe six foot social distancing at the church and interment service. Please wear your mask for safety precautions and in accordance with CDC guidelines.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
