Myrtle E. Smith, age 93, of Moultrie, Georgia passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Park Regency of Moultrie, Moultrie, Georgia. Mrs. Smith was born on September 1, 1927 in Ben Hill County, Georgia the daughter of the late Thomas Carlos and Jewell Rape Graham.

 

Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Frederick Smith.

 

Survivors include her daughter, Linda James (Jerry P.) of Moultrie, GA; 1 grandson, Thomas James (Theresa) of Moultrie, GA; 2 great grandchildren, Tommy James and Taylor James; brother, Eddie Graham of Fitzgerald, GA; 2 sisters-in-law, Tina Graham and Nell Graham both of Fitzgerald, GA; several nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m.at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kathy Naish and Rev. Edsel Young officiating. Interment will follow at Reedy Branch Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tommy James, Carlos Ely, Johnny Graham, Gary Smith, David Graham and Glenn Graham.

 

Sims Funeral Home, Douglas, GA is in charge of arrangements.

 

Due to COVID-19, Sims Funeral Home Inc. will require all guests and attendees to wear appropriate medical grade face-masks and maintain social distancing at all times while visiting our facility, and highly encouraged at our services outside of our facility.  Masks are not provided.
