Lester William “Billy” Corbitt, age 52, of Macon, passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Crumpler, North Carolina. He was born April 4, 1969, in Albany, Georgia, to the late Lester Bill and Mary Corbitt. 

 

Billy grew up In Macon, Georgia surrounded by a loving community of family and friends.  He graduated from Chapel Hill Academy.

 

Billy loved the Lord and this was demonstrated through his kind and compassionate spirit. He cared deeply for his family and friends and gave generously to those in need. Billy was known for his quick wit and dry sense of humor.  He loved cheering on his favorite Georgia teams, the Braves, the Bulldogs and the Falcons. He also enjoyed NASCAR and was an avid Jeff Gordon fan.

 

Survivors include his son, Colton Corbitt, and two sisters Donna Corbitt and Susan Stahl (Steve), a special friend Jennifer McLaughlin, and one niece, CathrynJayne “CJ” Stahl.

 

Graveside services for Mr. Corbitt were held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Arna Cemetery with Chaplain Leslie Chandler officiating.

 

Relihan Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
