Richard Deleslie Waldron, age 76, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Monday, June 14, 2021 at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Mr. Waldron was born October 1, 1944 in Coffee County, Georgia the son of the late Alfred and Ruby Jewell Waldron.

 

Mr. Waldron was a farmer and a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Douglas, Georgia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Waldron, son, Richard Vincent Waldron and sisters, Madlyn Joyner and Maxine Stokes.

 

Survivors include son, Sonny Scott Waldron of Douglas, GA; daughter, Patricia Denise Moore (James) of Douglas, GA; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; sister, Myrna Joan Jewell (Merrill) of Douglas, GA; 3 brothers, Gene Waldron (Naomi) of Douglas, GA, Bill Waldron (Wanda) of Douglas, GA and, Jerry Waldron (Toya) of Douglas, GA; several nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, June 16, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Satilla Memorial Gardens with Bishop Michael Jackson conducting the service. Mr. John Keanon will give a eulogy and Jerry Waldron will dedicate the grave. Pallbearers will be Chris Waldron, Clint Waldron, LeeGene Waldron, Chris Holley and Travis Jewell.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
