Helen T. Hutchinson Moore, age 69, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Friday, June 18, 2021 in Douglas, Georgia. Mrs. Moore was born on December 13, 1951 in Coffee County, Georgia the daughter of the late Luther and Geneva Reliford Taft.

 

Mrs. Moore worked for Sunbelt Greenhouses and was a member of Jowers Chapel Holiness Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Harvey and Lester Taft and a sister, Kathleen Muncey.

 

Survivors include daughter, Donna LaKay Task of Douglas, GA; 2 sons, Donald Hutchinson Jr of Douglas, GA and Timothy Luther Hutchinson of Douglas, GA; 3 sisters, Janice Haley of Telmore, GA, Patsy Herndon of Millwood, GA and Sara Herndon of Millwood, GA; brother, Morris Taft of Blackshear, GA; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 22, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Tanner Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Marshall Dye officiating. Pallbearers will be Shawn Alexander, Stephan Hayes, Roger Wamsley, Greg Whitfield, Sebastian Kirkland and Joseph Taft.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
