Jacob Warren “Jake” Dorminey, Sr., 73

Mr. Jacob Warren “Jake” Dorminey, Sr. age 73 of West Green, GA passed away early Thursday morning, June 17, 2021 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Dorminey was born September 19, 1947 to the late Furman Dorminey and the late Betty Merritt Dorminey. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister: Nellie Jo Dorminey and a brother Julian Dorminey.

Mr. Dorminey, a native of Coffee County, was a retiree of the State of Georgia with the DOT as a Bridge Inspector. After his retirement, he began his own business as 3D Contracting. Not only was he an awesome leader, he was also an awesome father, husband and papa. He was a member of Pineview Church of God in West Green.

Survivors include:

His wife: Trisha Corbitt Dorminey of West Green, GA

Daughter: Gwendolyn Dorminey of Macon, GA

Son: Jacob Warren “Jake” Dorminey, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL

Step-Daughters: Victoria Dorminey of Valdosta, GA
Ashlie Dorminey of Thomasville, GA

Grandchildren: Laura Ahlara Williams of Valdosta, GA
Savannah Dorminey of Jacksonville, FL
Jocelyn Dorminey of Thomasville, GA

Brother: Jim Dorminey and wife Charlotte of Newnan, GA

Sisters: Lynette Latham and husband Taze of Douglas, GA
Latrelle Hann and husband Earl of White, GA

Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and many Friends.

The funeral service will be Saturday morning, June 19, 2021 11:00 AM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. Craig Jump officiating. The interment will follow in St. Illa Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday evening, June 18, 2021 from 6:00 to 9:00 P. M. at Ricketson Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers for the service will be: Don Dorminey, Luke Dorminey, Lewis Hall, Ben Amerson, Brandon Mobley and Marty Stone.

Due to COVID-19, attendees are asked to observe six foot social distancing at the visitation, funeral service and interment. Please wear your mask for safety precautions and in accordance with CDC guidelines.
