James Hester, age 38, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 as a result of an auto accident. Mr. Hester was born on October 3, 1982 in Houston, Texas the son of Jimmy & Patricia Ann Morris Hester.

 

Mr. Hester worked as a maintenance operator and was of the Baptist Faith.

 

Survivors include his wife, Candice Merritt of Broxton, GA; 3 daughters, Shelby Hester & Emily Hester both of Broxton, GA and, Destiny Hester of Douglas, GA; son, Grady Hester of Broxton, GA; parents, Jimmy & Patricia Ann Morris Hester of Douglas, GA; 4 brothers, Jimmy Lee Hester, Douglas Alvin Hester and, Marty DeWayne Davis all of Douglas, GA and, Jimmy Ray heater of Fitzgerald, GA; sister, Cynthia Lorraine Sprinkle of Douglas, GA.

 

The family will receive friends Monday, July 26, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 26, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Loyce Burkett officiating. Interment will follow at Anderson Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Anthony Droll, Brandon Burkett, Tony Dugue, Gregory Williams and Shane Barton.

 

In lieu of flowers, family asks for donations to Sims Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
