Bobby Knight, age 69, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Mr. Knight was born on March 16, 1952 in Irwin County, Georgia the son of the late C. W. & Nora Lee Thompson Knight.
Mr. Knight worked (retired) for the City of Douglas as a motor grader operator. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Crystal Nix.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Knight of Douglas, GA; son, Jeffery Busby of Douglas, GA; 3 sisters, Kathy Wooten of Douglas, GA, Sarah Jewell (Paul) of Douglas, GA and, Peggy Brown of Douglas, GA; 3 brothers, Charles Knight (Sandra) of Broxton, GA, Doyle Knight (Wanda) of Cochran, GA and, Ralph Knight of Jacksonville, GA; 4 grandchildren, Emily Jernigan (Devonte), Mathew Nix (Amy), Jeffery Busby Jr, Hayden Gelisson and 5 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Chatterton Church Cemetery with Rev. Brent Chaney officiating. Pallbearers will be Ryan Fields, Mathew Nix, Devonta Jernigan, John Minchew, and Jeffery Busby.
