Paul Richard Wood, 70

Paul Richard Wood, age 70, of Broxton, Georgia passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021 from injuries sustained in an auto accident. Mr. Wood was born on October 13, 1950 in Coffee County, Georgia the son of the late Charles & Evelyn Johnson Wood.

 

Mr. Wood worked as a salesman for Phoenix Farms, a manufacturing housing company and was a veteran of the United States Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Jacquelyn Wood Baker, Evelyn Montine Knowles, Yvonne Johnson, Linda Bursack and, 1 brother, Lynford Wood.

 

Survivors include daughter, Sarah Wood of Willacoochee, GA; son, Jared Wood; brother, Rev. Darrell Wood (Dee) of Valdosta, GA; sister, Mary Lowe (Larry) of Toledo, Ohio; 4 grandchildren, Joshua Cribb, Ashley McDaniel, Mako McDaniel and, Saylor McDaniel; several nieces and nephews.

 

A private family memorial service will be held. Memorialization is by cremation.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
