Mr. Jimmy Wilbert Brantley age 79 of Pearson, GA passed away Sunday afternoon, August 8, 2021 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Brantley was born April 1, 1942 to the late James Frank Brantley and the late Opal Harper Brantley. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 Siblings: Billy Brantley, Tony Brantley, Julian Brantley and Audrey Rains and 1 Great Grandchild: Brantley Day.

Mr. Brantley, a native of Coffee County, was a farmer and an egg producer with Colonial Eggs. He was a member of Carver Baptist Church. Mr. Brantley was also a veteran of the United States Navy.

Survivors include:

His Wife: Jo Ann Taft Brantley of Pearson, GA

2 Children: Jimmy Wilbert “Jimbo” Brantley II and wife Candy
Sonja McCulloch and husband Bart

3 Grandchildren: Jimmy Wilbert “Jae” Brantley III and wife Candace
Scarlett Rae Day and husband Ray
Garrett McCulloch

4 Great Grandchildren: Levi Garrett McCulloch
Jacob Brady Brantley
Allen Ray Day II
Blakelyn River McCulloch

4 Siblings: Jack Brantley, Jessie Brantley, Maxine Lamb and Jean Brantley, all of Douglas, GA

A number of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends

A memorial celebration will be Saturday morning, at 11:00 AM on August 14, 2021 at The Gathering Place 790 Cross Road Douglas, GA 31533.

Memorialization is by cremation.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
