Mary Jenks, age 65, of Broxton, Georgia passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Jenks was born on August 30, 1955 in Coffee County, Georgia the daughter of the late Kenneth Monroe & Lizzie Louise Stapleton Lott.

 

Mrs. Jenks worked in food service with the Coffee County School System and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Jenks.

 

Survivors include son, Trent Lott of Douglas, GA; grandson, Zackery Lyman Wilkins of Nicholls, GA; step-daughter, Tammy Medina (Antonio) of Nicholls, GA; 3 step-grandchildren, Venesa Medina, Ophelia Medina and, Paloma Medina; 3 step-great grandchildren; sister, Vivian Blackstone of North Augusta, SC; 2 brothers, Herman “Pid” Stapleton (Florence) of Jackson, SC and Dewain Stapleton of Dublin, GA; several nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends Monday, August 16, 2021 from 12:00 noon until 1:30 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home.


Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 16, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Lone Hill Cemetery with Rev. Don Lott officiating. Pallbearers will be Tony Thomas, Wesley Thomas, Zack Wilkins, Chet Thomas and Scotty Lott.

 

Attendees are asked to comply with the current guidelines and restrictions concerning containment of the coronavirus, including social distancing.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
