Catherine Judith “Judy” West, age 76, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Mrs. West was born on May 20, 1945 in Charlotte, North Carolina the daughter of the late Charlie & Betty Fife Clary.

 

Mrs. West retired as a secretary with Farm Credit Bureau and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church, Douglas, Georgia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Tyrone West & 4 sisters.

 

Survivors include daughter, Tanya West McQuaig (Shawn) of Douglas, GA; 4 granddaughters, Sarah McNulty, Catherine Grantham, Hanna Gillespie and, Dailie McQuaig; 1 grandson, Skyler McQuaig; 2 great grandchildren, Clara McNulty and, Bailey McNulty; 3 nephews.

 

The family will receive friends Friday, September 3, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Cliff Kirkland officiating. Entombment will follow at the Dixie Mausoleum, Douglas City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Shawn McQuaig, Martin McNulty Jr, Caleb Anderson, Skyler McQuaig, Chase Perkins, Daniel Wilson, Blake Sincher and, Scott Bender.

 

Attendees are asked to comply with the current guidelines and restrictions concerning containment of the coronavirus, including masks and social distancing.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
