Mrs. JoAnne Corbitt Lane, age 70 of Savannah, Ga., passed away, Monday, August 23, 2021, at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross, Ga., following a brief illness.  She was born June 27, 1951, in Albany, Ga. to Jathon and Ethel Newmans Corbitt.  Mrs. Lane made her home in Savannah for many years where she worked and eventually retired as a hairdresser.  Her devotion and love for her family and those who knew her, although greatly missed, will never be forgotten.  Mrs. Lane was preceded in death, along with her parents, by her brother; Donald Corbitt and sister; Cathy Ragan.

 

Survivors include:

 

2 Sons:  Jathon Lane and wife, Ashley of Savannah, Ga.

 

John Haskell Lane, Jr. of Hinesville, Ga.


Sister:  Lisa Stewart and husband, Russell of Blackshear, Ga.

 

3 Grandchildren:  Jathon Chase Lane

Charley Kimber Lane

Trevor Lane

 

Several Nieces, Nephews and other relatives also survive.

 

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Lane were held Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 11:30 a.m. at Willacoochee City Cemetery in Willacoochee, Ga. with her son, Jathon Lane delivering the message along with many special memories of his mother.  Special musical selections included, “Go Rest High on that Mountain”, “Just One Rose Will Do” and “Amazing Grace” all rendered by cd.  The interment followed in Willacoochee City Cemetery with Mrs. Lane’s brother-in-law, Russell Stewart, offering the closing prayer.

 

Serving as active pallbearers were:  Trevor Lane, Russell Stewart, Austin Stewart, Jesse Jones, Nolan Fandrich and Zack Griffin.

 

Relihan Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
