James Carlton O’Neal, Sr., 66

Mr. James Carlton O’Neal, Sr. age 66 of Douglas, passed away early Saturday morning, September 4, 2021 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following a short illness. Mr. O’Neal was born June 27, 1955 to the late James Junior O’Neal and the late Gladys Bryant O’Neal. He was preceded in death by 5 brothers: James Raulerson, David Prescott, Daniel O’Neal, Johnny O’Neal and Billy O’Neal.

Mr. O’Neal, was born in Bacon County, GA. He was previously employed with Coats and Clark as a machine operator. He was also a veteran of the United States Army.

Survivors include:

Wife: Rhonda Kay O’Neal of Douglas, GA

Children: Carla Melissa O’Neal of Broxton, GA
James Carlton O’Neal, Jr. and Andrew Warren O’Neal, both of Douglas, GA

Sister: Jo Ann O’Neal of Keystone Heights, FL

Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and a host of Friends.

The graveside service will be Monday, September 6, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Douglas City Cemetery with Rev. Britt Peavy officiating.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 6, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at Ricketson Funeral Home.

Pallbearers for the service will be: Andrew Warren O’Neal, James Carlton O’Neal, Jr., Tony Vickers, Lee Mock, Blake Luke and Mike Luke.

Due to COVID-19, the family would like to ask that all attendees please follow the rules of social distancing and wear your mask for safety precautions at the service.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
