Dorothy Ann Thomas, age 60, of Louisville, Georgia passed away on Thursday September 9, 2021 at University Hospital, Augusta, Georgia. Mrs. Thomas was born on July 28, 1961 in Princeton, New Jersey the daughter of Muriel MacGlashen Pollock and the late Stephen Pollock.

 

Mrs. Thomas worked with the Columbia County Board of Education and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Mykaela Monge.

 

Survivors include husband, Sammy Tyrone Thomas of Louisville, GA; son, Wesley Thomas (Melody) of Harlem, GA; daughter, Tasha Aguirre (Fredy) of Martinez, GA; sister, Kathy Anderson (Vic) of Augusta, GA; 3 brothers, Stephen Pollock of N. Augusta, SC, Fred Pollock of N. Augusta, SC and Kevin Pollock (Andrea) of Columbia, SC; mother, Muriel Pollock of Grovetown, GA; 4 grandchildren, Sammy Aguirre, Eddie Aguirre, Hannah Thomas and Tyler Thomas; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

 

The family will receive friends Sunday September 12, 2021 from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Funeral services will be held on Sunday September 12, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Walden officiating. Interment will follow at Lone Hill Church Cemetery.

 

Attendees are asked to comply with the current guidelines and restrictions concerning containment of the coronavirus, including masks and social distancing.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
