Jimmy Darrell Lott, 71

Jimmy Darrell Lott, age 71, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Jeff Davis Hospital, Hazlehurst, Georgia. Mr. Lott was born on February 28, 1950 in Coffee County, Georgia the son of the late Quincey Lott and Jackie Joiner Lott.

 

Mr. Lott worked for Wal-Mart as a truck driver, a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Joyce Lott, and siblings, Judy Bennett, John Lott and Joe Lott.

 

Survivors include wife, Delane Lott of Douglas, GA; daughter, Melissa Conner (Jim) of Ambrose, GA; 2 grandsons, Cannon and Hunter Conner; brother, AC Lott (Cyndie) of Douglas, GA; 2 sisters, Mary White of Douglas, GA and Lourice Merritt (Ronnie) of Douglas, GA; several nieces and nephews.

 

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Reedy Branch Church Cemetery with Rev. George Carroll Paulk officiating.

 

Attendees are asked to comply with the current guidelines and restrictions concerning containment of the coronavirus, including masks and social distancing.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
