Mrs. Winona Lavon Corbitt Daniel, age 78 of Douglas, passed away Thursday morning, September 16, 2021 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following a short illness. Mrs. Daniel was born December 19, 1942 to the late E. L. Corbitt and the late Marie Harrell Corbitt. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: Jessie Corbitt, a sister: Patsy Wooten and 1 Great Grand Daughter: BreeAnn Thomas.

Mrs. Daniel, a native of Douglas, GA, had been in the banking business for 40 plus years, having served at Coffee County Bank, Liberty Bank and BB&T before retirement. She was a faithful member of West Ward Church of God with a firm belief that Jesus Christ was her Savior.

Survivors include:

Husband: Albert Gene Daniel of Douglas, GA

Children: Teresa D. Brigmond and husband Ronnie of Douglas, GA
Tommy Daniel of Ft. Thomas, KY

Grandchildren: Christopher Brigmond and wife Summer of Douglas, GA
Caylon Brigmond and wife Lauren of Charleston, SC
D. C. Daniel and wife Sara of Ft. Thomas, KY
Perry Daniel and Noah Daniel both of Ft. Thomas, KY
Kimbra Thomas of Florence, KY

6 Great Grandchildren

Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and many Friends

The funeral service will be Sunday afternoon, September 19, 2021 at 3:00 PM at West Ward Church of God with Rev. Britt Peavy and Rev. Coleman Peacock officiating. The interment will follow in Satilla Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon, September 19, 2021 from 2:00 until 3:00 PM at West Ward Church of God.

Due to COVID-19, the family would like to ask that all attendees, please follow the rules of social distancing and wear your mask for safety precautions at both the funeral service and interment.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
