Mr. Michael Ray Tarlton, age 67, of Pearson, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Landmark Hospital in Savannah, Georgia following an extended illness.  He was a 1972 graduate of  Coffee County High School in Douglas, Georgia.  He served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Richmond K. Turner (CG-20) as an Operation Specialist.

 

He is survived by two sons, Jeremiah and Aaron of Fitzgerald, Georgia, a sister, Debbie Tarlton of Monroe, North Carolina, a sister, Sandra Tarlton (Cameron) Whisnant of Darlington SC and a brother, Ricky (Pam) Tarlton of Jackson South Carolina.  three nieces, one nephew and numerous grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 24 years, Linda Ward Tarlton.

 

A celebration of life will be held, Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Angie Stone officiating.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
