Shaun Bernard Spivey, age 52, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021 at his residence. Mr. Spivey was born on June 19, 1969 in Coffee County, Georgia the son of Benny & Jenny Spivey.

 

Shaun was a master plumber working for the State of Georgia and was a member of Jowers Chapel Holiness Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a brother, Byron Spivey and grandparents, Virgil & Lila Spivey.

 

Survivors include 3 sons, Matthew Spivey (Sarah) of Douglas, GA, Morgan Spivey (Jacy) of Waycross, GA and, Walton Spivey of Axson, GA; 2 grandchildren, Laegan and Greyson Spivey of Douglas, GA; parents, Benny & Jenny Spivey of Douglas, GA; brother, Jason Spivey; sister, Angie Ely (Greg) of Douglas, GA; special friend, Karen Spivey of Axson, GA; several nieces, nephews and friends.

 

The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 29, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Jowers Chapel Holiness Baptist Church with Brother Rob Merritt, Brother Howard Holt, Brother Marshall Dye and Brother Jimbo Steed officiating. Interment will follow at Old Jowers Chapel Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers will be Austin Merritt, Chris Portwood, Brandon Musgrove, Josh Gonzales, Gabe Gonzales, Connor Spivey and Adam Spivey.

 

Attendees are asked to comply with the current guidelines and restrictions concerning containment of the coronavirus, including masks and social distancing.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
