Bug Minshew, age 76, of Broxton, Georgia passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Mr. Minshew was born on July 11, 1945 in Clinch County, Georgia the son of the late Eugene Minshew and Martha Griffin Minshew.


Bug worked for East Coast Asphalt and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joann Hulett Minshew, son, Trenton Minshew, 2 sisters, Mayebelle Pittman & Jimmie Ziegler and 1 brother, John Minshew.

 

Survivors include son Brent Minshew (Davies) of Broxton, GA; daughter, Jody DeWeese Tapp (Gordon) of Ocilla, GA; 3 grandchildren, Cole Minshew of Douglas, GA, Cameron Minshew of Pridgen, GA and, Emilee Dovers of Pridgen, GA; 2 brothers, Eugene Minshew of Macclenny, FL and Charlie Minshew of Pridgen, GA; several nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 5, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Pridgen Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cole Minshew, Cameron Minshew, Brent Minshew, Alex Williams, Max Long and Greg Limkeman.

 

Attendees are asked to comply with the current guidelines and restrictions concerning containment of the coronavirus, including masks and social distancing.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
