Dorothy Hatten Perry, age 91, of Broxton, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021. Mrs. Perry was born on August 19, 1930 in Coffee County, Georgia the daughter of the late Scott & Linnie Miller Hatton.

 

Mrs. Perry was a homemaker and a member of Pridgen Baptist Church, Pridgen, Georgia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Perry.

 

Survivors include daughter, Cynthia Caucci of Douglas, GA; 2 sons, Larry Highsmith of Valdosta, GA and Stanley Highsmith (Rose) of Valdosta, GA; grandchildren, Mark C. Highsmith of Valdosta, GA, John Darley (Melanie) of Greenwood, SC, Jackson Perry of Mooresville, NC, Sarah Perry of Mooresville, NC, Amanda Bryan (Eric) of Atlanta, GA, Courtney Renee’ Harper (Jacob) of Douglas, GA and Scott Reed of Statesboro, GA; great grandchildren, Abigail Harper, Chloe Harper, Mason Harper,  Drew Darley and Madalyn Reid.

 

The family will receive friends Friday, October 1, 2021 from 12 noon until 1:30 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Pridgen Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Miller officiating. Pallbearers will be Richard Wooten, Jerry Wooten, Jimbo Raper, Quitman Wooten, David Pridgen and Lamar Smith.

 

Attendees are asked to comply with the current guidelines and restrictions concerning containment of the coronavirus, including masks and social distancing.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
