Geraldine Spires Stone, 73

Geraldine Spires Stone, age 73, of Macon, Georgia passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Navicent Health, Macon, Georgia. Mrs. Stone was born on November 16, 1947 in Coffee County, Georgia the daughter of the late Jimmy and Addie Ruth Sayer Spires.

 

Mrs. Stone worked as a Juvenile Corrections Officer with the State of Georgia and was a member of DeBerry Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Stone.

 

Survivors include daughter, Renee’ Bainard of Macon, GA; 5 grandchildren, Joshua Crumpton (Amanda), Tiffany Carr (Brandon), Michael Bainard, Johnathan Stone and, Wayne Stone; 6 great grandchildren, Hailie Crumpton, Lexi Crumpton, Jared Crumpton, Caitlin Carr, Natalie Carr and Kyleigh Bainard; sister, Linda Hollis (Jimmy); brother, Jerome Spires; several nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends Sunday, October 3, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 4, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Chapel with Rev. Charles Carter officiating. Interment will follow at Deberry Church Cemetery. Pallberares will be Jamie Hollis, Tyler Hollis, Calvin Wilkerson, Stevie Burke, DeWayne Stone, Timmy Stone, Larry Spires and Patrick Dowling.

 

Attendees are asked to comply with the current guidelines and restrictions concerning containment of the coronavirus, including masks and social distancing.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
