Lynda Sue Dowling, age 67, of Nicholls, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Memorial Hospital, Savannah, Georgia. Mrs. Dowling was born on May 7, 1954 in Marianna, Florida the daughter of the late Leamon & Evelyn Helen Ezell McCallister.

 

Mrs. Dowling worked for Gold Kist as a supervisor and was a member of Covenant Christian Church.

 

Survivors include husband, Calvin Dowling of Nicholls, GA; 2 sons, DeWayne Dowling (Amber) of Douglas, GA and Dustin Dowling of Douglas, GA; 3 grandchildren, Clara Dowling, Clayton Dowling and JoElla Dowling; 2 sisters, Patti Mercer (Carlie) of Douglas, GA and Glenda McElhaney (Leon) of Douglas, GA; brother, Leamon Lamar McCallister of Douglas, GA; several nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Gregory Pope officiating.

 

Attendees are asked to comply with the current guidelines and restrictions concerning containment of the coronavirus, including masks and social distancing.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
