Steve C. White, age 64, of Nicholls, Georgia passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at his residence. Mr. White was born on October 20, 1956 in Ware County, Georgia the son of the late Lester Columbus & Betty Ann Barnes White.

 

Mr. White was a retired law enforcement officer working for Hazlehurst Police Department and Coffee County Sheriff’s Office and also was an EMT with the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office. Mr. White was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 grandchildren, Alexander White, Seth White and Sarah White.

 

Survivors include his wife, Katrina White of Nicholls, GA; 2 sons, Steven White (Daphane) of Douglas, GA and Gregory White (Sasitan) of Douglas, GA; 7 grandchildren, Taylor White, Amber White, Jada White, Diana White, Aurora White, June White and Piper White; 2 brothers, Stanley White of Douglas, GA and Stuart White (Cindy) of Douglas, GA; sister, Staci Mullins (Michael) of Nicholls, GA; several nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Walt DeLoach officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Sheriff’s Office, EMS and Jan Malphus.

 

Attendees are asked to comply with the current guidelines and restrictions concerning containment of the coronavirus, including masks and social distancing.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
