Ella Eunice Harkleroad, age 78, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Twelve Oaks Senior Living, Dublin, Georgia. Mrs. Harkleroad was born on November 19, 1942 in Unadilla, Georgia the daughter of the late Otha Thomas Hudson and Mamie L. Staines Hudson.

 

Mrs. Harkleroad was the retired owner/operator of Ella’s Beauty Shop, Douglas, Georgia and was a member of Central Baptist Church, Douglas, Georgia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Edwin Harkleroad and two sisters, Louise Pitts and Mae Moseley.

 

Survivors include daughter, Lisa Whitehead (Ken) of Douglas, GA; three sons, Thomas Harkleroad (Mary-Beth) of Rentz, GA, Danny Mathews (Ann) of Macon, GA and Randy Mathews (Beverly) of Macon, GA; brother, Larry Hudson of Macon, GA; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends Monday, October 25, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Central Baptist Church.

 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 25, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Wes Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to, Cerebral Palsy Foundation. 

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
