Mr. Wendell Ralph Threatt, age 67 of Douglas, GA, passed away Friday morning, October 22, 2021 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Threatt was born August 8, 1954 to the late Ralph Threatt and the late Willadean Spivey Threatt. He was preceded in death by a sister, Glynda Grantham and an infant grandson.

Mr. Threatt, a native of Douglas, GA, had been a self-employed general contractor for many years. He was also retired as a Coffee County Board of Education Bus Driver. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Survivors include:

His wife: Norma Lankford Threatt of Douglas, GA

2 Children: Michael Wendell Threatt and special friend Heather Quinn of Douglas, GA
Felisha Courson and husband Anthony of Douglas, GA

3 Grandchildren: Ethan Courson, Emily Courson and Katlynn Griffin all of Douglas, GA

1 Brother: Stanley Threatt of Douglas, GA

1 Sister: Janice Merritt of Douglas, GA

Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Many Friends

The memorial service will be Sunday afternoon, October 24, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Rodney Courson, Jr. officiating.

The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon, October 24, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Bethel Baptist Church.

Due to COVID-19, the family would like to ask that all attendees follow the rules of social distancing and wear their mask for safety precautions at the visitation and the service.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
