FALL FORUM

Senior 4-H members are invited to take part in Fall Forum at Rock Eagle the weekend of December 11-12, hosted by the State Board of Directors. The cost is $100 and this will cover three meals, lodging and the activities for the weekend. Senior 4-H members may also apply to lead a workshop, community service activity, recreation, or display an exhibit which would be great sharing material for your DPA portfolio. Teen leader applications are due by Wednesday, November 3. Registration fees are due by Friday, November 19. Don’t miss this opportunity to meet new people and have fun at the same time.

4-H SHOTGUN TEAM PRACTICE STARTING

Students in 7th through 12th grades interested in competing on the 4-H Shotgun Team need to sign up at the Extension (4-H) office right away. There is a $150 team fee due at registration. You will also need to complete a 4-H Medical Information Release Form and the Georgia 4-H Code of Conduct. The first practice is scheduled for next week, so don’t delay. Practice details will be given at registration.

4-H TARGET SPORTS SIGN UP (4th – 9th)

The 4-H BB, air rifle, and 22 rifle teams will hold its first meeting in the Family Ministry Center at the Douglas First Baptist Church on Monday, November 29, at 6 PM. If you plan to sign up, you need to complete the Hunter Safety Education Course by this date and attend the meeting with at least one parent. If you have not paid your team fee, please get that in immediately.  The BB team is only for 4th – 9th graders while the air rifle and 22 rifle teams are open to 7th – 12th graders.

If you would like to learn how you can become more involved with the Coffee County 4-H program, please contact the Coffee County Extension office at (912) 384-1402 or visit our website at http://coffee4h.org.
