Norma Lynn Meek, age 76, of Broxton, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 surrounded by her family. Mrs. Meek was born on March 31, 1945 in Coffee County, Georgia the daughter of the late Leonard & Lorene Carelock Burch.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Burdine Meek, grandson, Chris Tanner, 3 brothers, Scott Burch, James Burch, Eugene Burch and 1 sister, Jeanette Craft.

 

Mrs. Meek worked as a seamstress, a manager with Quick Change Stores and was of the Baptist faith.

 

Survivors include 3 daughters, Jackie Young (Robert) of Broxton, GA, Lynn Taylor (Gail) of Denton, GA and Norma Jo Crowley of Savannah, GA; 8 grandchildren, Nickie Worth (Ken) of West Green, GA, James Young (Kristina) of Broxton, GA, Rachel Bennet (Dom) of Indiana, Heather Tanner (Johnny) of West Green, GA, Jackie Brooks of Pearson, GA, Jessica Pringle (Zack) of Kentucky, Justin Behrens (Cassandra) of Broxton, GA and Michelle Wooten of Savannah, GA; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Marie Corbett (Jack) of Pearson, GA; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

 

The family will receive friends Saturday November 13, 2021 from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home Chapel with family members officiating. Interment will follow at Reedy Branch Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dillon Parker, Ken Worth, Logan Burkett, James Young, Justin Behrens and Bryceton (Dusty) Partin.

 

Attendees are asked to comply with the current guidelines and restrictions concerning containment of the coronavirus, including masks and social distancing.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
