Mr. James Henry Carver, age 68 of Douglas, passed away Wednesday morning, November 10, 2021 at Baptist Village in Waycross following an extended illness. Mr. Carver was born November 10, 1953 to the late Lebern Carver and the late Jeanette Harper Carver.

Mr. Carver, a native of Ocilla, GA, was a merchandiser for a grocery corporation in Orangeburg, SC. He was a member of the Sinkhole Road Coffee County Fire Department for 29 years. Mr. Carver was a member of St. Illa Baptist Church.

His wife: Sherrill Carver of Douglas, Ga

3 Daughters: Chasity Hostetler and husband Ryan of Fitzgerald, GA
Courtney Dorminey of Douglas, GA
Candace Johns of Douglas, GA

2 Brothers: Ron Carver and wife Mary of Burke, VA
Steve Carver and wife Linda of Douglas, GA

3 Grandchildren: Jake Johns of Douglas, GA
Reegan Hostetler of Fitzgerald, GA
Marlee Claire Dorminey of Douglas, GA

Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Many Friends

The funeral service will be Friday, November 12, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. Casey Wright officiating. The interment will follow at St. Illa Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening, November 11, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ricketson Funeral Home.

Due to COVID-19, the family asks that all attendees please follow the rules of social distancing and wear your mask for safety precautions to the visitation, funeral service and interment.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
