Mrs. Betty J. Lott, aged 81, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021, at Memorial Heath in Savannah, GA, following an extended illness. Mrs. Lott was born on November 27, 2021 in Coffee County, GA, to the late Lester and Dolcie Harper Chaney.

 

Betty was a wife, mother, grandmother, provider, and caregiver. “You were always taken care of when she was around. Now is her time to rest.”

 

Her survivors include: Son, Christopher Lott (Mandee) of Woodbine, GA, Three Grandchildren; Taylor Cook (Josh) of Brunswick, GA, Carli Lott of Woodbine, GA, Jesse Lott of Woodbine, GA, and a Great Granddaughter; Braelin Crews. She also is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Dolcie Harper Chaney, a brother, Lamon “Jack” Chaney, and a sister, Agnes Elizabeth Solomon.  

 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at Sims Funeral Home.

 

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at 11:00AM, at Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Lonnie Spikes officiating.

 

Attendees are asked to comply with the current guidelines and restrictions concerning containment of the coronavirus, including masks and social distancing.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
