Mrs. Hazel Frances Reilly Mancil, age 80 of Douglas, passed away Friday morning, November 26, 2021 at Community Hospice in Vidalia following an extended illness. Mrs. Mancil was born November 1, 1941 to the late Dr. Phillip Maurice Reilly and the late Dolores Marchand. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her step-father, Dr. Angel Marchand.

Mrs. Mancil, a native of Ponce, Puerto Rico, had lived in the Broxton, GA area for many years. She had been employed with Coffee Regional Medical Center for 40 years as an RN. She always enjoyed caring for others. Mrs. Mancil, was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include:

Children: Derek Mancil of Broxton, GA
Angela Norton and husband Morris of Broxton, GA
Rory Chaney and husband Joel of Hazlehurst, GA

5 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Mancil officiating and Morris Norton presenting a eulogy.

Due to COVID-19, the family would like to ask that all attendees please follow the rules of social distancing and wear your mask for safety precautions at the service.

Memorialization is by cremation.

A memorial service will follow at a later date.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the celebration of life service here in Douglas.
