Mrs. Jeanette Jowers Swails, age 80 of Nicholls, GA, passed away early Saturday morning, November 27, 2021 at St. Vincent’s Riverside Center in Jacksonville, FL following an extended illness. Mrs. Swails was born February 22, 1941 to the late Willie Jowers and the late Fronie Adams Jowers. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Swails; 2 Sons: Michael Kerry Swails and Johnny Markham Swails; 1 Grandson: Justin Ryan Hodge; 1 Sister: Ruby Jowers Smith and 2 Brothers: Bill Jowers and Edward Jowers.

Mrs. Swails, a native of Coffee County, had been the owner operator of the Deli in Broxton for a number of years. She was a member of Wilsonville Church of God of Prophesy.

Survivors include:

2 Daughters: Anita Hodge and Jamie S. Harrison both of Nicholls, GA

4 Siblings: Danny Swails of Orange Park, FL
Latrelle Spires, Vernell Nipper and Dorothy Thompson all of Douglas, GA

15 Grandchildren and a number of Great Grandchildren

The funeral service will be Wednesday morning, December 1, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Wilsonville Church of God of Prophecy with the interment to follow at Chatterton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, November 30, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Wilsonville Church of God of Prophecy.

Due to COVID-19, the family would like to ask that all attendees please follow the rules of social distancing and wear your mask for safety precautions at the visitation, funeral service and interment.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
