Mr. Carlton Dewayne Hursey, age 58 of West Green, GA passed away Monday evening, November 29, 2021 at Select Medical Hospital in Savannah, GA following a lengthy illness. Mr. Hursey was born August 15, 1963 the late Carlton Willis Hursey and the late Betty Jean Corbitt Hursey. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 brother: Darrell Williams.

Mr. Hursey, a native of Douglas, GA, was a superintendent of Pilot Plant at Optima Chemicals.

Survivors include:

His wife: Shelvie Hamontree Hursey of West Green, GA

1 Daughter: Samantha Hursey of West Green, Ga

3 Nephews: Jason Williams and Chad Williams both of Douglas, GA
Brandon Hamontree of Cleveland, GA

2 Uncles and 3 Aunts, many cousins and friends

The funeral service will be Thursday evening, December 2, 2021 at 7:00 PM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Kirkland and Rev. Bruce Deen officiating.

The family will receive friends, Thursday afternoon, December 2, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home.

Due to COVID-19, the family would like to ask that all attendees please follow the rules of social distancing and wear your mask.

 

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
