The Community Foundation of Coffee County, an affiliate of Community Foundation of Central Georgia, has awarded $10,000 in grants to four local nonprofit organizations through its annual grant program. Grants provide funding to nonprofit organizations working to address critical needs and opportunities in Coffee County and the immediate surrounding area.

Here are the 2021 grant program recipients:

  • Friends of General Coffee State Park received $5,000 for new fencing around its historic animal farm site.
  • Boys and Girls Club received $2,000 for its Workforce Readiness Program for labor eligible students.
  • Coffee County Food Bank received $2,000 to purchase supplemental food.
  • Families Together of Coffee County received $1,000 for its Resource Center for children at risk of entering foster care due to poverty.

The Community Foundation for Coffee County offers a philanthropic resource for the Douglas-Coffee County community providing residents with a simple, powerful and personal approach to enhancing the quality of life for those in and around Coffee County through charitable giving.
