Mr. Pearlie Wood, aged 87, of Douglas Georgia, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Wood was born on November 26, 1934, in Broxton, Georgia, to the late Leo Wood Sr. and Mary Burch Wood.

 

Survivors include: Daughter; Delores Ann Teston (James) of Douglas, GA, Grandsons; James Darrell Teston, and wife Nicole of Douglas, GA, Chad Reese Teston of Douglas, GA, two Great-Grandchildren; Tayton Teston, Eli Teston, three Brothers; L.W. Wood of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Leo Wood of Center, Alabama, and Douglas Wood of Douglas, GA. Mr. Wood is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo Wood Sr. and Mary Burch Wood, his wife, Lois M. Wood, and a great-grandson, Camden Teston.

 

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 27, 2021, from 6:00PM to 9:00PM at Sims Funeral Home.

 

A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at 2:00PM, at Cumorah Cemetery with Elder Luke Mizell and Bishop Michael Jackson officiating. Active Pallbearers will be: James Teston, Darryl Teston, Chad Teston, Ray Leavens, Greg Spears, and Steven Young.

 

Due to COVID-19, Sims Funeral Home Inc. will require all customers, guests, and attendees to wear medical grade masks at all times while in our facility, as well as social distancing. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, however the safety of our staff and those we serve are our primary concern. Masks will not be provided.
