Quillian Spivey, age 68, of Millwood, GA passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022, at his home after a brief illness.  Quinn was born December 18, 1953, in Coffee County, Georgia, the son of the late George Clayton Spivey and Gladys Corbitt Spivey.  Quillian was a retired farmer and had a love for hunting.  He was also preceded in death by a sister, Tishie Marie Spivey; a brother, Clayton Levonne Spivey; and a  brother-in-law, Donald Bennett.

 

Survivors include his 4 sisters, Shirley Thigpen of Douglas, GA, Vernell Bennett (Greg) of Douglas, GA, Latrelle Anderson (Kenny) of Douglas, GA, and Linda Bennett of Millwood, GA; 3 brothers, Donnie Spivey (Ann) of Pearson, GA, Larry Spivey of Pearson, GA, Howard Spivey (Pam) of Brunswick, GA; Sister in Law, Patsy Spivey, and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

 

Quillian will be greatly missed by all.

 

The family will receive friends at Sims Funeral Home, from 12:30PM until 1:30PM, on Saturday, January 29, 2022.

 

A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2021, at 2:00PM at Jowers Chapel Cemetery with Rev Hardy Crosby officiating. Pallbearers will be Greg Barnes, Jeffrey Barnes, Clay Spivey, Jason Bennett, Jonathan Watson, and Jacob Thomas. 

 

Due to COVID-19, Sims Funeral Home Inc. will require all customers, guests, and attendees to wear medical grade masks at all times while in our facility, as well as social distancing. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, however the safety of our staff and those we serve are our primary concern. Masks will not be provided.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
