Richard Latimer Carelock, age 64, of Pridgen, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, January 26,2022 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Carelock was born on May 20, 1957 to Geneva Carelock and the late Earl Carelock.

 

Survivors include: Son; Gabriel Carelock of Pridgen, GA, Daughter; Misty Carelock of Pridgen, GA, Mother; Geneva Carelock of Broxton, GA, Sister; Zoe Carelock of Ambrose, GA, Grandchildren; Matthew Carelock, Ella Grace Carelock, Kyleigh Carelock, Asher Carelock, and one Great Grandchild; Axton Santiago. Mr. Carelock was preceded in death by his Wife; Susan Carelock, Brother; Flint Carelock, and a Grandchild; Brooklyn Carelock.

 

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 31, 2022, from 10:00AM until 11:00AM, at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 31, 2022, at 11:00AM, at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home, with Rev. Joey Copeland officiating. Interment will follow at Pridgen Baptist Church Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Scotty Lott, Charlie Lott, Carl Pittman, D.J. Harper, Jimmy Raper, and Randy Cribbs.

 

Due to COVID-19, Sims Funeral Home Inc. will require all customers, guests, and attendees to wear medical grade masks at all times while in our facility, as well as social distancing. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, however the safety of our staff and those we serve are our primary concern. Masks will not be provided.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
