Mrs. Mary Ina Giddens Eversole, age 83 of Pearson, Ga., passed away Thursday. January 20, 2022, at Memorial University Health Center in Savannah following a brief illness.  She was born, November 16, 1938, in Pearson, daughter of J.C. Giddens and Frankie Lee Sanders.  Mrs. Eversole made her home in Pearson for the last 15 years or so, after living for a while in Jacksonville, Florida.  She worked as the service secretary for Spring Hill Homes for many years and was a member of Zion Hill Church.  Mrs. Eversole loved history, painting, making quilts and especially, spending time with friends and her family.  She was preceded in death, along with her parents, by a brother, Willie Giddens and her daughter, Belinda Jonnell Eversole Johnson.

 

Survivors Include:

 

Husband: George Eversole Jr. of Pearson, Ga.

 

Daughter: Mary Christina Johnson and husband Robert of Jacksonville, Fl.

 

Sons: Jay Eversole and wife Karen of Madison, Ga.

George Eversole III of Pearson, Ga.

 

17 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren also survive.

Memorialization was by cremation.

 

Relihan Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
