Ricky “Bay Bay” Corbitt, age 14, of West Green, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Memorial Health in Savannah, Georgia. Mr. Corbitt was born on March 23, 2007, in Coffee County, Georgia, to Richard D. Corbitt and Victoria Ruth Merritt.

 

Survivors include: Father;  Richard D. Corbitt of West Green, GA, Mother;  Victoria Ruth Merritt of Douglas, GA, Brother; James Daniel Corbitt of Douglas, GA, Maternal Grandparents; James and Janice Merritt of Douglas, GA, Paternal Grandmother; Anita Corbitt of West Green, GA, Aunts; Misty Martin (Nick) of Douglas, GA, Leanne Porter (Danny) of Nicholls, GA, Uncles; Robbie Merritt (Autumn) of Douglas, GA, and  James Corbitt (Jessica) of Nicholls, GA. He is also survived by many cousins.

 

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 31, 2022, from 6:00PM until 9:00PM, at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at 2:00PM, at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Craig Jump officiating. The interment will follow at Lone Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Dalton Kirkland, Cameron Porter, Blake Porter, Randy Rish, Dakota Corbitt, and Jesse Hilliard. Honorary Pallbearers will be his classmates.

 

Due to the COVID-19, Sims Funeral Home Inc. will require all customers, guests, and attendees to wear medical grade masks at all times while in our facility, as well as social distancing. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, however the safety of our staff and those we serve are our primary concern. Masks will not be provided.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
