Mrs. Clara Jean Rowland Creech, age 87 of Denton, GA passed away early Wednesday morning, February 9, 2022 at her residence in Denton, GA.

 

Mrs. Creech was born September 3, 1934 to the late Charles Wesley Rowland and the late Minnie Deen Rowland. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Clarence Creech, Jr.; 3 Siblings: Junior (Winnie) Rowland, Willard L. (Lucille) Rowland and Raymond Rowland and a sister-in-law, Faye Rowland.

 

Mrs. Creech, a native of Pierce County, GA was a homemaker. She was a member of Macedonia Church of God in Denton.

 

Survivors Include:

 

2 Sons: Randy Creech and Danny Creech both of Denton, GA

 

1 Brother: Donald Rowland of Blackshear, GA

 

5 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren

 

A number of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

 

The funeral service will be Friday afternoon, February 11, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Bishop Van McCall officiating with the interment to follow at Hazlehurst City Cemetery in Hazlehurst, GA.

 

The family will receive friends, Friday afternoon, February 11, 2022, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home.

 

Active Pallbearers for the service: Wayne Kight, Britt Taylor, Cody Bryant, Keith Smith, Robert Stafford and Tom Hutto.

 

Musical selections for the service will be “Go Rest High on that Mountain”, “Drinking from My Saucer”and “If There is a Phone in Heaven.”

 

Due to COVID, the funeral home asks all attendees to please follow the rules and guidelines for social distancing and to wear your mask for safety precautions at the visitation, service and interment.

 

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
