Donald Davis, age 55, of West Green, Georgia passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at St Vincent’s Riverside in Jacksonville FL following an extended illness. Mr. Davis was born on July 17, 1966, in Douglas, GA, to Quitman Davis and Melvina Miller Davis.

 

Survivors include: His Wife; Janet Carmen Ward Davis of West Green, GA, Step-Son;  Chad (Stephanie) Hollis of Wray, GA, Brother;  Neal (Darlene) Davis of West Green, GA, Sister;  Terry Ann  Smith of Douglas, GA, Grandchildren;  Caitlin Smith, Allie Smith, Madison Hollis, Emma Hollis, Ryder Smith, Hannah Hollis, Carter  Cornett, Great-grandson;  Jensen Smith, and Special Nieces;  Courtney Thomas and Kristen Miller. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by:  His Father; Quitman Davis; Mother; Melvina Miller, a Brother; Tillman Davis, and a Step Daughter; Carmen Smith.

 

The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 6:00PM to 9:00PM at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at 2:00PM, at Lone Hill Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Stacey Carver officiating. Active Pallbearers will be: Ben Davis, Warren Smith, Tommy Jones, Jerry Braun, Lamar Martin, and Tommy Carver.

 

Due to Covid-19, Sims Funeral Home Inc. will require all customers, guests, and attendees to wear medical grade masks at all times while in our facility, as well as social distancing. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, however the safety of our staff and those we serve are our primary concern. Masks will not be provided.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
