Mrs. Brenda Sue Anderson Davis, age 63 of Homerville, Ga. passed away, Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Ga. 

 

She was born October 24, 1958, in Douglas, Ga., daughter of Albert Anderson and Sara Ann Melissa Hutchinson Anderson.  Mrs. Davis made her home in Clinch County where she raised her family and enjoyed being a homemaker.  She was preceded in death, along with her parents, by three sisters: Betty Stone, Christine Summerlin, and Allene Spivey. 

Survivors include:

3 Sons:  Carl Anderson of Axson, Ga.

Grooms Young of Mulberry, Fla.

Olton Young of Argyle, Ga.

Special Friend:  Richard Lashley of Homerville, Ga.

Brother:  J.A. Anderson of Pearson, Ga.

7 Sisters:  Margaret Davis of Pearson, Ga.

Laverne Merritt of Alma, Ga.

Geraldine Sewell of Alma, Ga.

Helen Sweat of Douglas, Ga.

Carol Mizell of Homerville, Ga.

Maxine Woodal and husband, Tim of Peachtree, Ga.

Lou Annie Musgrove and husband, Bill of Douglas, Ga.

 

3 Grandchildren:  Zayden, Logan and Gabriel Young

Several other nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives also survive.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Davis were held Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at New Bethel Church in Pearson, Ga. with Rev. Clyde Purvis officiating.  Special musical selections included, “Long Black Train” and “Go Rest High” both rendered by cd.  The interment followed in New Bethel Cemetery.

Serving as active pallbearers were:  Travis Stone, Adam Spivey, Jake Anderson, Austin Smith, Joseph Mizell, and J.A. Anderson.

Relihan Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
